Individualized Education Program (IEP)
A written statement of the educational program designed to meet a child’s individual needs within the school system. Every child who receives special education services must have an IEP in place in order to receive the accommodations and modifications needed to help them succeed.
We know how difficult it is to manage all the physical, emotional and mental needs of a developing child. Having to advocate for your child within the realm of the school system only adds to that load.
Finding a balance between social and academic skills mixed with sensory and behavioral needs is a large issue within the construct of a school day, but with an IEP in place, every child should be able to succeed in school in whatever capacity that looks like for them.
Our goal at Reclaimed Hope Initiative is to work with parents to help them identify their child’s needs in the realm of the school day, and then help them feel confident in presenting their concerns and questions to the IEP team.
As a parent, you are the leading expert on your child, and we want to sit with you to ensure your needs are being heard and then work to get them addressed on every front.
